ak47 is a copy of the sturmgewehr 44

The AK47 is a copy of the sturmengewehr 44

I started being interested in guns when I was about four years of age. My dad has guns and it is from him I learnt most of my knowledge about guns. Now I quiz him on his knowledge and understanding of how they work and how several other parts of rifles and other guns work.

I have done some research on the Sturmgewehr 44 and the ak47 and I believe that the Russians stole and copied the design of the stg-44. It strikes me as funny how the stg-44 was first produced in the year 1944. Two years after the war had finished the ak47 turned up. The ak47,to me, looks like a complete copy of the sturmgewehr 44. There are several items that are  similarbetween the two assault rifles. The gas tubes of the two rifles look similar, the firing mechanism, and the gas valve that operates The only thing that is similar is the layout of the rifles. The sturmgewehr 44 has a different gas
tube to the ak47.

The ammunition is pretty much similar the ak47 taking 7.62x39 cartridge and the stg-44 taking 7.92x33. I believe that they just changed the calibre to make is not so suspicious that they copied a good german assault rifle

I have come to the conclusion that the ak47 is indeed a copy of a stg-44.
